Subject: McCartney concert review!

Written By: Cat_Lover on 05/18/02 at 00:22 a.m.

Hi folks,

I just returned from seeing Paul McCartney in concert! And I must say, Paul is still quite the show man! Mixing old songs from The Beatles right up to his latest, Driving Rain, joking with the audience in between all made an excellent show!

There were four special tributes to the show! One for his fiance,  Beautiful Heather one for his dear friend, John, one for George, and one for his LOVELY LINDA!

A special touch was during the song, FREEDOM. the song written for New York, a banner with a drawing of the Statue of Liberty was dropped from the stage lights! And the encore was spectacular! Paul ran back on stage carrying the American flag, followed by two band mates; one carrying the Florida State Flag, and one carrying a Peace flag!

The tour ends this week! I hope many of you had an opportunity to see this outstanding show!

Peace,Cat Lover

Sounds Like a great Concert. Although One grows tired of 9/11 tributes.  Bono at the SuperBowl was where I drew The line.  don't get me wrong, I Feel bad for the victoms of 9/11, and I understand he wrote the song about 9/11.  I just think that If we have to many tributes then then eventually they we'll become meaningless.  If He would Have done something Like that On the aniversary of 9/11 OK.  But on a random night?  That Probaly would have been my least favorite part of the concert.

The only thing that made it somewhat sad was that Linda wasn't there, PHYSICALLY, that is! I KNOW she was up there in the clouds watching! And don't get me wrong! I am very happy that Paul found love again! I was just a big admirer of Linda!

Peace,Vivian

Out of all the Beatles, Paul was the one I most respected. and John was the one I most hated (mostly for taking up with Yoko- but that is a flame for the 70's board) I hope he starts making albums again!

I am glad to see that he is still going strong after Linda's Death, it is a sad affair to loose ones wife so early. I wonder if he will marry again?
