Subject: A Great Artist, But...
I'm a fan of Kylie Minogue, and I like the sound of her new album, but I have one complaint. Can't she do anything more original than ripping off titles of other artist's songs? I mean, come on..."More More More"; "Fever"; "Burning Up". These aren't remakes; they're simply songs with titles ripped off from other artists. And worst of all: "Love At First Sight", a title Kylie ripped off from...HERSELF!

A lot of artist use names that have been used before. there was a long thread on this subject.

Nothing wrong with that, I wish more artists from the 80s would start recording again.

And besides, outside of a large electronica field (including electronicists such as Richard D. James, who, in his vast list of electronic titles has tracks called "Analogue Bubblebath, Vol. 2 #2", often is seen great repetition in the field of song titles. Unless you want a complete discography of songs with the same titles, even as far as cover versions go, all the versions available of "Yesterday" and "All I Have To Do Is Dream" amongst others, you wouldn't really want to own them all.
Same deal, as I have above expressed, with cover versions, no?

And Kylie's next single, "One". ;D

Kylie isn't 'reliving' her success, she's still living it. She's been consistently successful since 1985.
PS: 'kylie' is an Australian Aboriginal word for a type of boomerang. If you knew this already, just smile. :)

Kylie Minogue is an alright artist. I doubt she'll ever have a hit again in the US. The good thing is she is not a one-hit wonder anymore. She is a 2-hit wonder in the US now.

~I don't listen to recent music very much. I think everything sounds musicly and vocaly the same. Like, michelle branch sounds like that other black-haired girl(can't remember her name), whos sitting on a moving car playing her piano. ::)
