Subject: Dave Thomas
I was very saddened to hear of the death of Wendy's founder Dave Thomas. I had great respect for him.

As was I. I love Wendy's over all other fast food restaurants, and lved his commercials. I'll miss seeing him on TV.

Wendy's has gone downhill in my opinion (I loved the all you can eat salad bars they used to have), but I still loved Dave's commercials. He will be missed :(

Wow, this thread is from way back :o
but anyway, Dave Thomas was from my city, and when he died all the Wendy's here had their flag at half-mast.
I had the opportunity to see him once at a charity dinner here in town a few years back. Excellent public speaker, and he always rembered where he came from, which is a rarity these days.
