Subject: Graveyard Photo
Written By: Snoopygirl on 03/19/07 at 3:48 pm
I want to get some opinions on this photo I took a few years ago. My uncle passed away in Dec 1989. I went to his grave and took two photos of his grave about 4-5 years ago. The first picture turned out good, nothing there. I turned and walked away about 2 steps, turned and snapped a photo and got something really weird on it. The next picture I took was at home and it was fine. I had the strap wrapped around my wrist and I was wearing a light jacket but I had the arms pushed up around my elbows. I would love to know what you all think of this photo cause it freaked me out when I saw it.

That is really weird.
I'm am not an expert on either photography or the paranormal but to me it looks like motion blur and/or double exposure.
What kind of camera were you using, digital or film?
I would suggest posting the photo here...

Thank you for sharing that photo with us! It does appear to be a double exposure, or a bit of an orb.....nevertheless...it definitely leaves you thinking! :o

You know, the more I look at the the more weird stuff I see. I know they use the term 'matrixing' when studing paranormal photographs.
Matrixing is a term used to describe the human mind's natural tendency to find familiar shapes in complex shapes or colors. In other words finding a face in the shapes and shadows of a collection of objects.
Look at what I circled....

I'm pointing out what I'm seeing here...if you can't read what I've written, the first arrow is pointing at "eyes", second at "nose" and third "open mouth".

But she could have actually caught her own face on camera as she was turning around quickly.

oh ok...I see it now.....hmmm, you never know. I have seen other pictures similiar to this (where there is a visible face)....but you never know if it is really a face, or if your mind is playing tricks on you.

Right. I can see faces in a lot of things.
I've never been one to think that graveyards are haunted anyway. Why would a ghost want to hang out in a graveyard, they would go back to someplace they love or miss or even the place they died. ;)
I would like to see the other photograph taken that day, just to compare the two.

What you circled is what I saw too...like a face of a young boy. But if you look at the side of it, to me it looks like another face but in white. I'll try and find the others that were taken before and after that one. The one before it was just of the gravemarker and the other was in my house I think. I even tried to look at it on the negative but still couldn't make it out. If the blur at the top can be explained and its nothing paranormal, I would like to know what the white streaks at the bottom are.
