Have any photos of abandoned buildings, roadside attractions, or creepy mishaps that you'd like to share? Here's the place to post them.
This is an abandoned church on the way to Chambersburg, Pa. If only my scanner wasn't so lame, they would actually make nice pictures without the marks in the sky. Oh well, you get the point :)

great idea, sis! ;)
Ok...here are some photos of a defunct children's fairy tale park called, "Storyland", located in Schellsburg, Pennsylvania. It's on the way to Chambersburg...and I had read stories about it...so, one trip up that way, I stopped my car and took some pictures of it. It now has a craft/gift shop in front on the now defunct storyland. You can't see them from the main road that well....all that is visible from the main road is a very large 18 foot statue of a pied piper.

I just picked that hallway at random, but I recognize the picture and know where it is: Alcatraz. Unfortunately, to get into that hallway you'l probably have to break INTO the prison...

That power plant's near your house, correct? Shoot, Ed (*GASP* I called you by your real name!), I don't even know where you live. Jess said it's about 10 miles from the middle of nowhere. ;D

I'll have to call you and give you directions sometime...

Here are a few of an abandoned mini-golf located near us. It's been shut down for as long as I can remember...and there aren't too many remnants of it's being anymore (infact, they are working on that road and it looks like they might tear the rest of it down sometime soon).

I forget the whole story behind this pic, but this picture was taken alone by one woman, she had both hands on the camera at the time she took it.

Here's an abandoned house across the field next to our house. Linz took it last winter. I'm dying to go in it, but since then, the farm bureau has taken over the land and put up barbed wire and no trespassing signs all over the place. A few years ago, we walked through the field to the old barn that had fallen down, and got some really cool old barn wood and Tony made me a big shelf and a cool looking bench with it.

The fact that "graffiti" is an upcoming farktography contest topic is, of course, a complete coincidence. Or evidence of a deeply-wound conspiracy between inthe00s.com members, Farkers, and urban explorers. Fnord.
ADDENDUM: Urban explorers never create graffiti. They do, however, photograph it.

This past Saturday, we took a drive down to Elnora, Indiana, my grandfather's hometown. I was looking for my great-grandparent's graves, but there were two cemeteries in town. One is the old cemetery, as they had stopped putting people there in 1961. This tombstone was at the very top of the hill in the old cemetery.
