For those not in the know, Poutine is French Fries topped with Cheese Curds and Gravy and originated in Quebec in the 1950s. The word "Poutine" was added to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary on May 19, 2014, hence today being a good day to celebrate it.
Poutine is so widely available in Canada to the point where you would be hard pressed to find a restaurant that serves fries and didn't have Poutine as an option.
One of my favourites is Burger King has an Angry Poutine that has angry sauce, angry onions and jalapenos on it. I don't want to say I eat it often, but let's just say I could stand to lose a few pounds LOL

I go to Old Orchard Beach,Maine in the summer and poutine showed up about 10 years ago. I still don't have the nerve to try it.
