Subject: Have McDonald's Burgers Gotten SMALLER?

Hey Y'all,
This has been bothering me for quite some time. I remember when I was younger and would go to the Mcdonald's, I'd have a meal be full and go on about my day. But now it seems even when I get a big sandwhich--like a Big Mac or Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese--I'm still coming up hungry and it doesn't seem like enough for me (and I have put down 2 Big Macs on more than one occasion)
Have the burgers gotten smaller over the years?
(Or am I just really greedy? LOL)

As somebody who ate Big Macs since the early 2010s, I personally don't care. I mean, McDonald's doesn't really have good burgers nowadays. I could go into one of my local Burger Kings and be more full than an average McDonald's meal.

i worked at a mcd's one month back in 93. i remember the hamburger patties were called 10 to 1s, because each was a tenth of a pound. afaik they are still a tenth lb. what has changed is price; a small hamburger is $1 to $1.29. Back in 93 they were 69/79c, with a throwback special the month i was there to 29/39 cents!!! ppl would come in and order 30, 50, even 100 at a time; one of the reasons i quit. plus, min wage then was 4.25/hr.

They're smaller and sloppy. Lol I'all bite into a Big Mac and then then Burger and lettuce fall out.

Well yeah, that does happen to you as a kid. But people who went to McDonalds before 2004 know that everything was big back then. Especially the size of fries and drinks. But ever since Super Size Me, McDonald's discontinued the Super Size. Making fries and drinks a bit smaller. This probably had to deal with their burgers, because they're the most well known fast food restaurant in history.

Getting rid of the supersize fries was stupid and annoying. Adults are perfectly capable of deciding how much they want to eat and if they choose to overeat that's on them. I just started ordering two orders of fries but then I got pissed off at how much more I had to pay.

I think McDonald's just want kids to be healthier. But by then, kids would probably like Wendy's or Burger King more. Even as a kid, I loved Wendy's Kids Meals more than the Happy Meals. That was really good.

Yeah, that sucks. The large fries on McDonald's don't even seem big anymore. It used to be better before the 2010s, but then they somehow made it smaller. The Super Size fries make it look they doubled the size.

When I used to go to McDonalds and Burger King I wanted large fries and large coke, large everything, I used to eat big.

Pretty much anything from Burger King is bigger than McDonald's. For one thing, they somehow stole ideas from McDonald's, and made it look better.

maybe at McD's calling it a "quarter pounder" is like calling it a "hamburger"..... in otherwords it's just close enough to count. :D

That's what I get too. And it still seems like its too small. But I only bother about McDonald's because it's in walking distance of dialysis and I just pop over for a meal because I don't feel like cooking after that. But I do want enough to fill me where I don't get hungry later. LOL.

I tried a triple burger from McDonald's the other day. I could have easily eaten 3 or 4. Now else I'm a raving glutton or they are smaller. >:(

My borough in NYC recently got a Sonic. It's pretty cool, but it's pretty far where I live. Although, I wish I had a Dairy Queen there.

I had my first Big Mac around four years ago, and it was really good back then. Nowadays, I don't really eat that much from McDonalds. I actually like Wendy's better, since their burgers and fries are SO good.

I have a Sonic drink right now, it's pretty good. :)

I dunno about Mcdonalds but BURGER KINGS sure have,they are small as hell BUT THE PRICE IS THE SAME!!!!!!!

I only go to McDonald's maybe 3-4 times a year anymore. There are so many much better options out there now.
