I've tried them a couple times, thinking that combining Doritos chips and Taco Bell tacos would create the perfect storm of fast-food awesomeness and that they would completely blow me away. Instead, when I tried them I was more like, "Meh..."

I mean, they weren't bad or anything, I just found them to be a tad underwhelming.

Anyone else try them yet?

Hubby has had them and he thought they were a pretty good taste... the first time.
After that he could take 'em or leave 'em. ;)

I tried one.  Felt the exact same way.  Not a huge difference, but not bad.

I had one last night, it was pretty tasty, it actually added a little flavor to the taco experience. lol :D

I'd rather eat a bag of Doritos than to have them as a taco.

After reading this thread earlier, I had to go to Taco Bell for dinner tonight.  I got a regular crunchy taco, and a Doritos crunchy taco, so I could compare.  I think the Dorito's version had a slight edge over the regular.  True.

I don't dare.  I'd probably eat five of 'em late at night and catch a scorching case of heartburn!

I like the taste of the taco, but the shell turned rubbery when the juice leaked to the bottom. Can't wait for the cool ranch taco.

I want to try one, but they do not exist at Taco Bell in Canada.

Ooooo, Cool Ranch...that might be good!

I think the reason I found the current Doritos shell taco to be not that big of a deal is because the nacho flavoring doesn't really seem to add much to the overall taste of the taco.  It's like they just added a little bit more of the same flavor.

Whereas a Cool Ranch Dorito shell might be a lot better because it's adding something more different to the mix. 

I really dislike Cool Ranch Doritos.  And I don't know why.  I just think they're yucky.

Hubby & I went to Taco Bell today for the first time in a LONG time. Didn't try the Doritos, though. I had a chalupa & he had a burrito.

Looks to me like cheese, tomatoes, guacamole, onions and sour cream.  Nachos with fries instead of chips.

I haven't tried a Dorito taco yet....  It just reminds me of our walking raco's and I think why would I pay extra for the Dorito taco when I can grab a snack bag of Doritos; slightly crush them up.  Cut off the top of the bag.  Add my taco meat, lettuce, tomato, and cheese, sour cream (or ranch), and salsa if desired.  Grab a fork, stir it up and start eating.  Portable, no stained fingers, and delish!  I am convinced our walking taco craze started the Dorito shell taco's. Walking taco's = delish!!!
