Reminds me of my favorite scene from "Fatso" (1980) with Dom Deluise. This gem of a non-PC b-movie is all but forgotten.
Weight-loss support group called the "Chubby Checkers." Dom's brother has padlocked the cupboards in the apartment. The Chubby Checkers come to help, but they all fall off the wagon.

little known fact, fatso was directed by the first female cinematographer to work in hollywood. she was also in "teenage zombies." real groundbreaking cinematographer/director.
