I can't even begin to imagine  8-P  and I love pork rinds but something about DIY rinds just seems wrong to me!  ;D

You probably don't wanna know.

Ever use a deep-fryer to do french fries or potato chips?  Take a piece of (raw) chicken skin, and toss it in.  Wait a long time - until it's so overdone and crisp that it stops sizzling.  What's left is the poultry equivalent of pork rinds. 

It sounds awful, but it's absolutely delicious.  Think of puffy potato-chip-shaped things that have the texture and mouthfeel of corn puffs but a hint of the flavor of glorious pork.

Now if that doesn't make me think of botulism and having my stomach removed, I dont know what does.


It sounds like something that'll kill me.  8-P If I wanted to die, I'd stick a fork in a toaster before i tried to eat that.

Some one asked what pork rinds are. I saw them make them on the History channel. It's just peices of dehydred pork skin that have been fried. And a few seasionings.


Simple as it sounds, that's what it is. Pig skin.
