1....Jack Daniels  The demon Jack was my downfall but oh, what a ride.

2....The Glenlivet, 12 yr. old Single Malt Scotch Whiskey  This was just a pleasure!

3....Orval Trappist  A delightful full bodied beer from Belgium, a little expensive but very good.

Miller Light was my everyday beer of choice.

Karma -- for knowing, even after eight years, that an answer of "beer" or "whisky" or "bourbon" is sort of like saying "meat" or "vegetables" when asked what your favorite meal is.

My current top three beers are:

1: Stone Brewing, Arrogant Bastard Ale (American Strong Ale), and just about everything else they brew, mostly IPAs.
2: Unibroue, Maudite (Belgian-style Strong Ale), and just about everything else they brew, mostly Belgian-style ales.
3: North Coast Brewing, Old Rasputin (Imperial Russian Stout)

This Weekend:  Stone Brewing: 12th Anniversary Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, which just hit the stores a few days ago.
Next Month:  Russian River Brewing: Pliny the Elder, which may be available in bottles in August.

Yeah, I'm becoming a beer snob in my bitter old age... I was lucky, in that the more I became interested in beer, the less interested I became in drinking.

The same thing happened to me in wine and single malts, except that a bottle of The Balvenie (for when I want something smooth) or Lagavulin (for when I want to wallow in a peat bog) will last me a year or two, and at $10-50/bottle, good wine's too expensive to fully explore on my budget.

Lame.  I'm on blood pressure meds, so I'm not supposed to drink that much, if at all.  I do it anyways because I suck. :P

I don't mind doing those jagerbombs (jagermeister with red bull) in a social setting.

I love the girly drinks (if that is the correct term  ;D) like Vodka/Bacardi and Coke, Malibu and orange and at one time I think I got addicted to Baileys.

I realise that I can drink spirits relatively well but get slaughtered on about 4 or 5 pints of lager . . . I don't understand either, lol.

   Used to have a few Canadian Mist/7ups with ice everyday after work.  Margarita's mixed with Grand Marnier and Cabo Wabo Reposado on the weekends.  White Russians with Smirnoff...

No, no I always need a mixer. Kahlua / Baileys with a lot of milk and pineapple juice with the Malibu.

I drank Southern Comfort and Coke as a teen and if I got a whiff of it today I'd probably gag.

Ok, I drink more than just beer. I rarely drink spirits for health reasons (but saying that is hypocritical as not drinking one form of alcohol for health reasons but drinking another is fine - doesn't make sense ::)) I have wine on occasion, although I can only afford cheap crap. :P But yeah, mostly beer. And if I want to get drunk faster (or have a hellish hangover) I'll have a glass or 3 of jim beam.

I rarely drink. But the 3 that I like the most are:

1. Razzmatazz, which is Raspberry schnapps.
2. Plum Wine.
3. Zima.

Whoa Night Train... now thats something I haven't had since my dazed and confused days along with MD 20/20. I get a hangover just thinking about it!!!!!!!

Obviously, I'm a big beer drinker and by that I don't mean I like to relax with a virulent Coors Light, I mean actual beer.

I used to enjoy Leffe and still do, but as a snob, as soon as I saw it available in the local grocery store I had to look for something else.

So,

1) Bons Voeux is a gorgeous ale from the Dupont Brewery in Tourpes; Belgium. Not an everyday beer though, not that easy to find and not cheap either.
2) Moenen Bokis a very bitter, tasty ale from Holland. Fruity.
3) The three spot is hard to fill as there are plenty of worthy candidates but I suppose I'll add a local beer. If it's a cheap night and I'm going out from work I will try and find either a Schlafly APA or whatever there seasonal cask beer is. Failing that I can certainly get with a Boulevard.

A quick shout must go to the Lost Coast Brewery out of Eureka in Nor Cal. They produce several quality ales and aren't ridiculously pricey.

Of course, I can also be found with Rye Whiskey or Stroh Rum.  :-[

Don't get to enjoy to imbibe very often, but if I do I have my distinct days (beer, wine, or mixed drinks....)
