Since it's that time of the year, I figured we should start a topic about Girl Scout Cookies.

What are your favorites?

I don't know the name...they come in an orange box and are oatmeal cookies with peanut butter in the middle.  Delicious.

Of course I wouldn't turn my nose up at any of the other cookies either...

My husband has the day off today and is running errands, so I told him to be on the lookout for Girl Scouts.  He looked at me like I was insane...but then he always does that.

i like the ones that contain actual girl scouts. you can hardly ever find those anymore! what gives?

Thin Mints are my favorites, my husband likes the Samoas.

I usually buy them from my niece even though she's 500 miles away.  My sister mails them to me.  ;D

I love the lemon cookie they had last year. It had lemon creme in the middle. Now they have a new lemon that isn't nearly as good.  :(  I also saw Edys ice cream with girlscout cookie flavors. They looked pretty darn good!  :)

Diane & Julie bought 2 boxes, one Samoas, and the other, I dunno, and I got 1 lousy cookie.  1!  they ate them all  >:(

I found someone selling them. FINALLY. When we were going down to Columbus this past weekend, we stopped at a truck stop and they were inside selling them. I got some Tagalongs. :D

I found my Girl Scout victory to be somewhat hollow...I ate a few of them and then I was over it.  So anticlimactic.  They're still sitting in my cupboard.  :-\\

Who doesn't love Thin Mints???  My personal favorite.  I would say Thanks a Lot are a close 2nd.  My daughter loves Caramel Delites and Thin Mints.

yesterday, as i was walking a hallway at work, I saw an old friend and she was carrying 2 boxes of girl scout cookies and one was open so she offered me a Samoa. I took 2  8)  then she offered me the unopened box so that she wouldn't eat it. I refused

One of my daughter's friends is a scout.  She loves me, I ordered 13 boxes.  She said they will be in Mid March...YAY!

Just bought two boxes of Thin Mints and two boxes of Caramel Deelites (also called Samoas, depending on where you live, but they're Caramel Deelites here). Yippee!!!  :D

Tagalongs-the chocolate peanut butter soft cookies, and Think Mints!  I did my neighbor a "Favor" and bought 3 boxes of each! I'm so proud of myself, though, it's been about 2 weeks and I've only gotten into one box!  ;)

So Elizabeth brought home the information for Girl Scout cookie selling.  She starts taking orders in January.  If you love Girl Scout cookies find out who in your neighbour is taking orders or look out for a cookie booth at the local store.

Unfortunately there isn't a website you can order from if you don't know a tame GS.  However dropping me a PM might work...

Has anyone else tried the new "Thank You Berry Much" cranberry cookies?

I bought Thin Mints and Caramel Delights from my teacher his daughter. That used to make me so mad when I was in girl scouts, all the winners of selling the most had their parents do the work for them! ;_; Those animal ones with chocolate on the back are good too.

Still the same now. 

My daughter never does very well because we don't know the neighbours, and she's too scared to just knock on the door, and someone else always takes the order form into my husband's workplace before we even get our card.  The first year we were selling cookies my husband ordered some from the guy at work because it didn't occur to him that our daughter would be selling them!

I haven't had Girl Scout cookies in decades so I didn't respond to this thread-until a couple of weeks ago. My step-daughter bought a bunch of GS cookies and so I have refreshed my memory on some of them and I have to say that I really like the Tagalongs. I just may have to buy a couple of boxes for myself.

me too, I'm gonna buy some more. I have 3 cookies in my lunch for today. the Thank U Berry Munch box is also smaller than the other boxes, just 1 stack of cookies instead of 2, but the box is a bit taller. think I'll have one cookie now with my coffee  8)
