I like tortilla chips and either of these condiments quite a bit as a snack, so I thought this may be an interesting poll. I'd probably say the cheese has a slight advantage for me over the salsa.

I prefer salsa for the most part.

my friend it depends upon the recipe and the other items involved during the snacking or eating.  I love cheese on a baked potato but if it was a breakfast burrito with potato I'd go with salsa.  You can make a very nice chili dip with cheese, however I often accent my chili with salsa anyhow...in the bowl, not when it's cooking.

I would have to go with both...I like nacho cheese, salsa, black olives, and a tad bit of sour cream...yum!

Salsa.  I'm not a big fan of nacho cheese.  I'll eat it, but if I get to choose, I go with salsa.

I hardly eat nachos, although I like to eat tortilla chips with mild salsa dip and grated Cheddar cheese or mild nacho cheese dip. In the poll, I voted mixed.

There's a couple of Mexican restaurants around here that have an awesome white cheese dip.  I have no idea what it's called but it's delish!

On The Border has a terrific white cheese dip.  It's white cheddar, pepper jack and monterrey jack, I believe. 

I like salsa much better than nacho cheese. Chuck & Daves is my favorite.

  Salsa...

  Not just any salsa, though.  Chevy's salsa, with it's blackened tomatillos, is the absolute best I've had, which is strange coming from just an average TexMex restaraunt.  Anything canned is, by default, terrible.  I find many of the canned variety much too tomatoey and much too sweet...

  I could eat Chevy's salsa out of the bowl with a spoon, it's that good...

I voted for mix - if I'm not lazy I'll make my own queso dip.  Otherwise, it's usually salsa.
