Though I don't drink it right now, my faves were Grape, Orange, Cream, Root Beer, Dr. Pepper, and Pineapple.

Pineapple's pretty good.

As for "pop", I understand that that's ONLY in midwest, and even then, some people call it soda =P.

People say both soda and pop here in Utah.  Some people call it soda pop. 

My favorite is Diet Dr. Pepper.  I think I'll have one now...

I don't drink very much soda gog these days. (That's what Colin Mochrie called it on an episode of "Whose Line Is It Anyway" one time.) ;D When I do, it's usually Sprite or 7-Up.

It is called SODA!!!! And I don't drink it. If I must (i.e. if there is nothing else), I usually drink 7-up, Sprite, or Ginger Ale. I used to like Dr. Pepper but haven't had it in DECADES!  I may still like it. I also like Root Beer but don't have it too often.  But I HATE cola-any kind. Coke, Pepsi, RC, Diet Rite, etc. etc.  :P

People down here call all pop "Coke", even if it's not a Coke product.  That's what gets me.  We'll be somewhere that only has Pepsi products, let's say.....and they ask if you want a Coke.  You don't even carry Coke, you moron.

In my neck of the woods, all soft drinks are referred to as 'sodas'...

There may have been a time back in my parent's childhood when it may have been referred to as 'pop' (possibly due to the influx of US soldiers that were stationed here in WW2...)

But I think you'd get a quizzical look if you asked for a 'pop' in this day and age!

that's hilarious!! ;D  I remember my parents being in another state (I can't remember which one...but they obviously called it "soda" there)...and my mom asked what kind of pop they had...and the server at the restaurant just looked at her puzzingly...and said, "we don't have any popsicles here". LOLOL! :D

some "local" soda/pop companies offer cherry soda.  In my humble opinion some of the best tasting soda/pop(s) are the local ones. :)

Same here. I used to buy 2 litre bottles but it got to the stage where I wouldn't even pour it in a glass, I'd just wander off and take the bottle with me.  :-[

Now after I've demolished a case I pretty much think.. ok.. better stop. Beer time.  ;D

I'm not sure why it's only women that are warned but the report does say that only the females in the study were affected.  I know that women are generally more susceptible to osteoporosis anyway.

Jolt Cola.  All the sugar.  Twice the caffeine.  Back in the 80s and early 90s before they got bought out.  Hard to find.  Worth the effort.

I like Mountain Dew althought I'm starting to find Vault to have more of a punch.
