KFC - didn't really have much of a choice there...I don't think Popeye's have made it over here (well, I've never seen one...!)

Certainly cleaned up their act, KFC - years ago, if you ever wanted a quick dose of food poisoning, that was the place to head for...!!

I treally depends on what I get. I like Popeye's Spicy better than their mild chicken, but I like KFC's original recipe the best. I also like Popeye's Red Beans and Rice, and KFC's Mac and Cheese.

Can I vote for "neither"? I'm just not a fan of either place.

Because the Aussie KFC gravy is to DIE for  :D  I have been know to get a feed from Red Rooster next door and then scoot into KFC for a small gravy to go with it.  Of course they still can't help asking me if I'd like chips to go with it  ::)

KFC in in Trinidad & Tobago the chicken is SOOO much better in quality and the batter tastes better than have ever had in both the US and in Canada.

Well my first job while I was still in high school was at Popeye’s…so I guess you can guess my choice. Or do you really want to hear one of the “You don’t wanna know, I worked there” stories?

Just what business does a craggy, mumbling old sailor, with a pop “eye”, deformed arms, and a penchant for spinach have to do with “New Orleans” style fried chicken anyway? ::)

Actually Popeye’s chicken is less greasy than KFC’s, but KFC biscuits are better, and (though I’m ashamed to admit it) I have a weakness for KFC’s “smashed” potatoes/gravy and their coles slaw…don't get me started on their "Little Buckets" of anything, espcially the nast "ParFAT" :P

I went to a place down in N.C. a few years back called Bojangles--a regional fried chicken chain in the South-that was pretty good. Also, has anyone been to "Chick-Fil-A?" I used to see them down south all the time but never had time to stop in there, I was wondering if it was any good.

Yes, Chick-Fil-A is really good.  Next time you pass by one...stop.  It's not like KFC or Popeye's tho, because it's mainly chicken sandwiches.  (and they have the best lemonade)  In recent years, they've gotten things like chicken nuggets and salads.

Chick-Fil-A is really good, you should stop in.  The chicken is not greasy and it tastes really fresh.

KFC, although I do wish they'd bring back their nuggets.  Those were to die for when I was preggers with my oldest.

I like KFC Better. Popeye's.. the spicyness isn't enjoyable for me. And I like the potatoes and cole-slaw at KFC.

KFC for me. Last year, we were in Florida for a conference and we stopped by one of those freakish "full service" rest stops. Stupid me, I decided to grab some Popeye's chicken since I'd never tried it before (none in Washington). One bite in, I screamed, spit it out and chugged down my soda in record time. Nobody told me that it would be spicy! Even if they opened over here, I would probably stay away in light of that experience.  :P

I wish there were a both option b/c I like both. But, since I've moved to Southern CA, I've seen more KFCs, so that's what I picked.

KFC does not taste the same as it did in the 70s when it was known as Kentucky Fried Chicken. IMO they must have changed the recipe. When I was a kid getting KFC on Sundays was a big deal for our family.

Popeye's mainly for the red beans. KFC mainly for the Mac N Cheese and Chicken. Popeye's chicken is really good, but really bad for you. Grease catch up to you as you grow older. KFC's chicken is less threatening.

I like KFC but I love to experience Popeye's again since I remember eating there when I was a kid. Their food seems really good and their advertisements don't stop airing.

Popeyes, but the mild kind. I may have roots in Louisiana, but I cannot handle too much spice at all. But their biscuits are HEAVEN.
