Released last year on Amazon Prime Video, this show is about an upper middle class Jewish woman in 1958 New York who, after separating from her husband, accidentally discovers that she has a gift for stand-up comedy and decides to pursue a career in it.
Perhaps that may oversimplify the plot a bit, but it is a hilarious show that also captures the style and feel of NYC in 1958, especially in the scenes where she goes to underground beatnik/hipster clubs to hone her craft.
Definitely recommend. ;)

We started watching this and love it. We are on Season 2 right now. It is pretty funny.
