Mine was a tie between mr rogers and sesame street......

I still would LOVE watching both if I could see them in the same format I did then: Analogue :)

I grew up with Sesame Street during the 70's and 80's.

My son grew up enjoying Sesame Street, and in fact, I enjoyed it to!

For me, Doctor Who, The Telegoons, and It's a Square World.

The Muppets.  In the 80's there were quite a few reruns of Sigmund the Sea Monster on.

Never really got into Sesame Street. I did like Mr Rogers, but not the make believe part. I didn’t play with action figures either. I was a realist.

I never was much into cartoons. Even as a kid I watched PBS shows like Nature, This Old House, New Yankee Workshop, Woodwrights Shop, Motorweek.

I said Zoom. (It is funny because I was talking about Zoom yesterday.)  I also liked the Electric Company & Sesame Street. I never did get into Mr. Rogers.

I also watched The Polka Dot Door.  The format of the show was a male and female host would "break the 4th wall" and each show was built around a theme which the hosts would explore through creativity and education.  Several of the shows hosts went on to stardom outside of Canada:

Gordon Thomson (went on to play Adam Carrington on CBS drama Dynasty)
Tonya Lee Williams (went on to play Olivia Winters on the CBS daytime soap The Young And the Restless)
Gerry Mendicino (perhaps best known to US audiences as Uncle Taki in the My Big Fat Greek Wedding film series)
Nerene Virgin (went on to play Jodie on Today's Special, which aired in the US on Nickelodeon)
