Steve Coogan's US sitcom Happyish has been axed by cable network Showtime after one season.
The actor starred as a middle-aged ad exec in the satirical comedy - a role he took over from Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died of a drug overdose shortly after filming the pilot last year.
But the show, which also starred Ellen Barkin and Kathryn Hahn, failed to attract viewers with the 28 June finale attracting just 261,000.
