it's a great show  really funny.... particularly the first four seasons.

I think Jim Parson's is a smart guy but I don't think he's as smart as Sheldon... Mayim however is as smart, or smarter than, the character she plays.

I love the show.  My husband who does not find most things that I do funny, laughs through it.  I find it is a show about male nonsense, and the fact that girls still rule over (even) brilliant men  8)

I love nerdy girls.  My girls are probably close.  My second grader last year scored a 6th grade level on her science basic skills test, as well as my 4th grader scored a 9th grade level...  They are extremely well versed in science.  Now if we could get the math, language and reading scores at the same levels I would have geniuses on my hands!

I love that show, but since one of my quirks is to always watch episodes in chronological order without skipping, I haven't seen it since the wedding.

I think you need to pay go back and watch the series again. Walowitz is far from a ladies man.  He was lucky to get Bernadette.  ;D

I know it was created by Chuck "Two and a Half Men" Lorre, but I like any episode that has nothing to do with that show, and when they're not anything like, say "Friends".

It's nice to see people on television who are intelligent and have to actually work for a living.

To be honest, I really don't like the show. I tried to watch one episode from it, and it was so unfunny. All they do (the male characters, I might say) is obsess over every single topic related to science while trying to get girls.

this is a show that should be watched from the first episode on... there is, believe it or not, character development and so many inside jokes that... if you don't watch from the beginning and get a feel for the group dynamic, see the characters evolve and witness the source of the inside joke, then you are really missing out on the fun.

I get that it's not a show for all people but I truly believe people should give it a shot by starting with the pilot and the first 5 eps... if  you still don't like it then you never will but if you started with some random ep that happened to be on the day you watched you really aren't giving it a fair shot.

you're certainly entitled to your opinion... I just don't think you've given the show a fair chance... while this season has been it's weakest the first few seasons were really strong and full of laughs

It becomes harder and harder to make up new ideas after the 4th or 5th season, IMO, it gets harder and harder after the first 5 seasons, because you can't jump the shark or the show will suck, but you can't stay with the same ideas because people will get bored. This is the dilemma all shows go through after a while. Again, I'm not a TV expert so this is such an amateur opinion.

It must be a challenge for writers after a few seasons.

Chuck Lorre's a pretty skilled writer... but you're right if the characters don't change it becomes boring if they change too much we (the audience) gets mad.....  it's a fine line to balance.


There were still some fun and funny moments this season.... mostly it's becoming more apparent that the cast isn't having as much fun as they used to. They are not delivering with the same enthusiasm so the energy of the show suffers.
