It was today (September 13th) in 1985 that Super Mario Bros. was first released in Japan for the NES, and started the Super Mario series of platforming games.

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought to myself, "who are the Mario Brothers? I don't remember seeing them on here!" :P

Pointless bit of trivia, but Super Mario Bros. came out the very same day as this album:
