Legendary stage and screen actress Linda Lavin, who starred in the TV sitcom Alice, has passed away at the age of 87. :\'(

Ironically, Diana Ladd (Belle) and Celia Weston (Jolene) are still alive. Both replaced Holliday when she left to get her Flo spinoff show which failed after two seasons. Ladd also played Flo in the movie that inspired the series (Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore".

James Gregory (Inspector Luger) cashed in his chips in 2002.
Ron Carey (Officer Carl Levitt) departed in 2007.
Steve Landesberg (Det. Dietrich) bit it in 2010.
Ron Glass (Det. Harris) left the world stage in 2016.
Abe Vigoda (Det. Phil Fish) died in 2016.
Gregory Sierra (Sgt. Chano Amenguale) kicked in 2021.
Florence Stanley (Bernice Fish, Abe Vigoda’s wife) expired in 2003.

Apparently I met him but don't remember. When my mother & sister worked in theater way back in the dark ages, he was one of the actors. This was before anyone knew who he was. My sister told me he was super nice. If memory serves he was in the same play with Betty Grable. I remember meeting her but I wasn't impressed. I later learned that she was ill then (it was shortly before her death) which is why she wasn't in the best mood.
