Television executive Alan Sacks, who co-created the hit TV Show Welcome Back, Kotter has passed away at the age of 81 from lymphoma. :\'(

Back in the day, WBK was a huge hit, chronicling the hijinks of high school teacher Gabe Kotter and his students, collectively known as The Sweathogs. Game Kaplan, who had the title role, was also co-creator.
Mr. Sacks now joins cast members Marcia Strassman (Mrs Kotter), John White (Principal Woodman), Ron Palillo (Horshack), Debralee Scott (“Hotsie” Totsie), and Robert Hegyes (Epstein) on that great sound stage in the sky. :-\\
