Drake Hogeststyn who was best known for his role as John Black on Days Of Our Lives succumbed to Pancreatic Cancer on Saturday at the age of 70.

I know, isn't it? Drake Hogestyn is the 9th Days actor to pass away. I really hope that the producers don't try and replace him.

On the TV show Friends, Joey's DOOL character Drake Ramoray was named after Drake Hodgestyn. I never watched soaps, but Drake was one of those soap actors where even if you didn't watch the show, you just knew him to see him and knew he was a soap star

He's been on DOOL since 1986.
