Legendary doo-wop crooner Maurice Williams, who rose to fame in the 1960s with Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs, has passed away at the age of 84.  :\'(

Back in 1960, Maurice wrote and performed his classic tune Stay which held the record for the shortest tune to top the American record charts (1 minute and 36 seconds!). Commercially successful versions were later also issued by the Hollies, the Four Seasons and Jackson Browne. 8)

RiP to Maurice. :\'( I liked the Jackson Browne cover of his signature hit.
