James B. Sikking, known for his roles as Lt. Howard Hunter on “Hill Street Blues” and the titular character’s father on “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” has passed away at the age of 90, reportedly due to complications of dementia. :-\\

This is getting ridiculous. In the past few days we’ve also lost Benji Gregory, Shannon Doherty, Dr. Ruth, Richard Simmons, and Shelley Duvall.  :\'(

When I saw the face, I did recognize him from Doogie Howser, RIP James Sikking. :\'(

I also know him for the films Up the Creek (1984) and Narrow Margin (1990)

He later appeared in the movies The Pelican Brief and Fever Pitch.
