Not to be confused with Rose Marie (Manzetta), a vaudeville entertainer best known to more contemporary audiences as Sally Rogers from The Dick Van Dyke Show. She already died in 2017.

Rose Marie Mazetta first found fame as a child. From her Wikipedia page:
At the age of three, Marie started performing under the name "Baby Rose Marie". At five, she was offered a seven-year contract and became a radio star on the NBC Radio Network and made a series of films. Rose Marie later recalled:
"I had a deep voice, not like Shirley Temple but more like Sophie Tucker. I never sounded like a child so there were some people who thought I was really a 30-year-old midget."
To counteract these rumors, NBC arranged for her to undertake a national stage tour, and she appeared in a few short films including "Baby Rose Marie the Child Wonder" (1929).
At the height of her fame as a child singer, from late 1929 to 1934, Rose Marie had her own radio show, made numerous records, and was featured in a number of Paramount films and shorts. She continued to appear in films through the mid-1930s, making shorts and one feature picture, International House (1933), with W. C. Fields for Paramount.

Never heard of Rose-Marie Kane. I've heard of (Baby) Rose-Marie (Manzetta) who played Sally Rogers on The Dick Van Dyke Show and was also a regular on the Doris Day Show and Hollywood Squares and was an all around great gal. "Smile a Little Smile For Me (Rosemarie)" was a bubblegum hit song for one-hit wonder band The Flying Machine in 1969. It grates on the nerves.

Like you, never heard R. Kane but know of R. Manzetta. And now whenever I see this thread, I hear the Flying Machine song in my head.

She was quite a big deal across the pond. From her Wikipedia page:
While Rose-Marie enjoyed success as a local and national television personality in the United Kingdom, she also released nineteen albums.
At the International Music Awards, Rose-Marie was voted Most Popular Singer. She sold out the London Palladium on more than one occasion.
Rose-Marie served as a judge for two series of the BBC talent show Go For It. Her other television appearances included The Royal Variety Show, Shooting Stars, Doctors, Big Brother's Little Brother, a documentary of herself and various chat shows. As well as her work on television, she was involved in acting in several stage productions and on radio, and played Rita in the 2001 film Cold Fish.
Rose-Marie was also involved in charity work, including the promotion of road safety and charity for the underprivileged. Her legs were insured by Lloyd's of London. 8)

I know who this Rose-Marie is, but only because she had 3 minor hits in the UK charts in the 80s, and I happened upon them years ago when researching that chart
