Notable TV actress Elizabeth MacRae, probably best known for her role as Lou-Ann Pouvee, main squeeze of PFC Gomer Pyle in the hit series Gomer Pyle, USMC has left the base at the age of 88. :\'(

Back in the day she was all over the TV screens of America, playing in shows including 77 Sunset Strip; Hawaiian Eye; Surfside 6; Harrigan and Son; Burke's Law; Dr. Kildare; The Andy Griffith Show; The Untouchables; Death Valley Days; Rawhide; General Hospital; Gunsmoke (in a short recurring role as “April”); The Fugitive; Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.; I Dream of Jeannie; The Virginian; Rhoda; Barnaby Jones; Kojak; Mannix; and Petrocelli. 8)

Any reboot would need a whole new cast.

It was Ronnie Schell. He was a comedian and actor.  Donnie Schell was a football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 70s and 80s.
