Former Senator Joe Leiberman who was Al Gore's VP running mate died at the age of 82.
He went from being a Dem to an Independent and even endorsed the Repub John McCain for pres in 2008.
The last couple of years he was involved with No Labels.

RiP to Joe Lieberman. :\'(
I remember him best as Al Gore’s running mate in 2000. I hadn’t realized that he switched political affiliations after that.
