Legendary gangster rapstress Lichelle Laws, whose nom de rap was BO$$ and was the first woman signed in to Def Jam Records, has passed away at the age of 54 from a long term kidney disease. :\'(

Back in the day she released hits such as “A Thugga Level” and “Recipe of a Hoe”. 8)
But her career met a sudden end when a reporter from The Wall Street Journal revealed that she grew up in a middle-class neighborhood (on the West Side, Detroit), studied ballet and piano, and attended Catholic private school (where she was a cheerleader), before majoring in business for two years at Oakland University. Her street cred evaporated and that was that. :-\\
