Sad news. Composer/producer/keyboardist Jim Beard, Grammy winner who played for Steely Dan, collaborated with other Jazz greats, and had a solo career has passed away at 63. :\'( :\'( :\'(

Sad indeed. :\'( But he only started with Steely Dan in 2008, long after their heyday.
All-in, 31 members of Steely Dan over the years have gone to that Great Recording Studio in the Sky, not counting Walter Becker himself. :-\\

If he toured with them, I wonder if he performed when we saw them live at Ravinia in 2011? ???
