Legendary singer and Days of Our Lives soap opera actor Bill Hayes has passed away at the age of 98. So far his cause of death has not been released so it’s a bit of a mystery.

Bill was a sensation back in 1955, when his recording of The Ballad of Davy Crockett hit #1 on the charts. In 1970, he joined the cast of DOOL and portrayed Bill Horton for the next 53 years :o (except for a 1984-1990 hiatus).
As a side benefit to his DOOL gig, he married costar Susan Seaforth Hayes :-* back in ‘74, a marriage that lasted until his death. 8)
