The legendary comedian and older half of The Smothers Brothers has passed away from cancer. :\'(

Sorry to hear this. The 1960s Smothers Brothers show took great chances in making political statements, especially about the Vietnam War, and not always to the liking of the network (CBS) or the censors. He also participated in the recording of the classic "Give Peace A Chance" with John Lennon & Yoko Ono in 1969.

My family watched The Smothers Brothers on a regular basis in the late-60's/early-70's - loved the show. Sad to hear this :\'( :\'( :\'(

You're showing your age. I'm sure many people here under a certain age have never heard of Pat Paulson or the fact that he used to run for president all the time.
