Wow the Three’s Company cast has taken quite a few hits.

Of the main cast only Joyce DeWitt and Richard Kline are still with us.

John Ritter, Norman Fell, Audra Lindley, Don Knotts, Ann Wedgeworth, and now Suzanne Somers have all gone to that Great Apartment in the Sky. :-\\

Second stringers Jenilee Harrison and Priscilla Barnes are still with us.

This is sadly unexpected. She was also a shrewd businesswoman whose products included Thigh Master and her line of dietary products. RIP, Suzanne. :\'(

So is "recast for the series" about say, Elizabeth Ward versus Tracey Gold. I prefer Ward simply because she looks average and gawky and wouldn't face what say, Gold or Yvonne Craig did (Craig notably remarked to writer Mark Evanier at a convention after a guy i the autograph queue nervously told her he liked her on Batman '66: "Another man who m-sturbated to me...")

How very sad. I knew she'd had some sort of cancer. Sad that it killed her. :\'( :\'( And just one day shy of her birthday.

I remember her as the matriarch on the 1990s sitcom Step By Step (a show I liked watching, especially during its first season).

I liked her on Three's Company - sad to say goodbye  :\'(  :\'(  :\'(

Well, I didn't mean that to be insulting.  I'm just saying that by the time Suzanne Sommers left Three's Company her character had already been recast and Precilla Barnes had already taken her place.  It just didn't feel like the same show after that.  At least to me it didn't feel like the same show.  And Audra Lindley and Norman Fell had already been replaced by Don Knotts.  And that's when it REALLY didn't feel like the same show to me.

That just leaves Joyce Dewitt and Richard Kline as the two remaining original cast members left.

Actually, she wanted to be paid the same amount of money as John Ritter for the same amount of work that she was doing on the show.  The only problem with that is that if the producers paid her the same amount of money as John Ritter then they would have to pay the same amount of money to all of the actors because it just wouldn't be fair to pay her that amount of money and not everybody else.  So they had no choice but to let Suzanne go.

Huh? "Teenage version"? ??? Jason Ritter is 43 years old, born in 1980. He is currently 15 years older than John Ritter was when he began on Three's Company at age 28.

But they weren't intended to be equal leads in the show itself.

Elisabeth Shue was the leading lady in The Karate Kid but the actual leads were Macchio and Morita.


The show was called THREE'S Company. The 3 of them had equal billing. They should have been paid equally.
