Legendary character actor Mark Margolis, who rose to fame as an ill-fated drug cartel assassin in the movie Scarface, has had his contract canceled at the age of 83. :\'(

In Scarface, Margolis’ character Alberto “The Shadow” met his untimely demise when up and coming drug kingpin Tony Montana refused to let Alberto blow up a car that was carrying school children. Even Tony Montana had some ethics. Unfortunately, this act proved to be Tony’s undoing, and Alberto’s boss exacted his revenge as only a 1980s drug lord could do.

He was one of those actors who had a recognizable face as he was in a lot of popular movies, but he wasn't a household name
