But I know what I know, and Brad Houser, bassist and co-founder of legendary 1980s band Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians has passed away at the age of 62, from a stroke. :\'(

The New Bohemians started as a trio in the early 1980s, gaining experience in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of downtown Dallas, Texas. The original line-up featured Brad Houser on vibraslap, Eric Presswood on guitar, and Brandon Aly on drums. In 1985, Edie Brickell :-* was invited to sing one night with The New Bohemians. She joined the band as lead singer. After the band was signed to a recording contract, the label changed the group's name to Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians. Their 1988 debut album, Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars, became a critical and commercial success, including the Top Ten single "What I Am". 8)
He also co-founded Critters Buggin (of Seattle, Washington) with fellow New Bohemian Matt Chamberlain, Mike Dillon, and Skerik.

At first I thought it was Edie Brickell who died. But it was apparently one of her New Bohemians bandmates.
RIP to Brad Houser :\'(
