Subject: Ted Kaczynski Granted Release from Prison

Legendary serial killer/bomber Ted Kaczynski, perhaps better known by his nickname The Unabomber, was found expired in his prison cell at the federal lockup in Butner NC. He was serving eight life sentences. :o
He was steadfastly unrepentant for his crimes, and had been in the slam for the past 27 years.

In 2021, Kaczynski was moved to the federal medical center in North Carolina, according to the bureau. He had been held at Supermax in Florence, Colorado, before he was transferred to FMC Butner on December 14, 2021.
Butner does not appear to be a great place to get relocated. An acquaintance of mine from the 80’s died in custody there 11 years ago, with only a year or two left on his sentence. :-\\
