Phenom Memphis rapper Big Scarr (real name, Alexander Woods) has passed on at the age of 22, with some accounts saying it was from a fatal drug overdose. :\'(

Scarr previously escaped disaster in 2020, when he was shot in the hip. The bullet traveled up to his spine, and Woods had to have his appendix taken out, along with his right leg being put back into alignment.
Big Scarr's prescient debut mixtape, Big Grim Reaper, was released on April 16, 2021, and peaked at #25 on the Billboard 200, selling 22,000 copies in its first week. This earned Big Scarr his first charting project. The mixtape included appearances from rappers Gucci Mane, Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, Tay Keith, Enchanting, and Baby K. 8)
It’s been a rough year or so for the Memphis rap scene. Stalwart rappers Snootie Wild and Young Dolph have also passed away not that long ago, and Mendenhall Mendenhall 2X was gunned down early last year. :-\\
