When I first read of his passing I wondered if this was another case of hip hop related violence, but news accounts do not suspect any fowl play.

Turns out that Coolio died intestate (i.e., without leaving a will). His manager has been appointed to handle estate matters, presumably in the role of executor, to divvy up the estate’s assets amongst Coolio’s 7 children. Coolio was apparently loaded, as estimates of his net worth are around $1.5 million. :o
