Legendary baseball stolen-base champ Maury Wills has passed away at the age of 89. :\'(. No cause of death has been released.

Way back in ‘62, he made his mark by demolishing Ty Cobb’s record for stolen bases in a single year. 8)
During Maury’s short tenure with my hometown Picksburgh Pirates, I managed to get him to autograph my baseball glove at a game in Forbes Field. Unfortunately, I was your typical kid and played with that glove until the autograph was worn off. ;D

He played for my team, the Dodgers... long before my time, but I still know about him. (A true Dodger fan knows the team's history well.) Plus my parents remember him too.
