Jerry Allison, legendary drummer for Buddy Holly’s band The Crickets, has passed away at the age of 82. :\'( No cause of death has been released.

He’s credited as a co-writer on some of Holly and the Crickets’ most famous tunes, including their debut single, “That’ll Be the Day (that I die),” and classics like “Peggy Sue” and “More Than I Can Say.” 8)
This seems to the latest bad luck for The Crickets; first Buddy Holly’s early demise in 1959, followed by bassist Joe Mauldin’s passing in 2015. Now there are no more. Crickets left to carry on the flag. :\'(
