Subject: Snootie Wild… No Longer Walking in Memphis
Written By: LyricBoy on 02/27/22 at 1:46 pm
Memphis Rapper Snootie Wild (birth name, LePreston Porter), has been gunned down in Houston at the age of 36. :\'(. Apparently he had accidentally backed his SUV into a ditch. A couple came up on the scene and some sort of argument ensued, with Snoot getting shot in the neck. The police at this point do not know if this was a targeted shooting or a random occurrence, but they’re pretty sure this is a case of fowl play. :-\\

Snootie rose to fame back when he and felonrapper Yo Gotti released their hit, Yayo.
Snoot is the second Memphis rapper gunned down recently. Fellow performer Young Dolph was gunned down outside a bakery a couple of months ago.

Update on the story. A witness has come forward. Apparently it was not Snootie whose car was in the ditch. The witness claims that it was her car that got stuck in the ditch, and some folks were helping her to get unstuck.
She then goes on to say that Snootie pulled up in his vehicle and whipped out a gun. Which then resulted in him getting shot.

Well...whoever's car it was, it's not a person I've heard of. Once again, another rap performer who doesn't really become too well-known (in certain parts of the world) until they die. Either way, it's sad.

Unfortunately in the rap genre, you don’t “make it big” until you’re dead. :\'(
If the eyewitness account is accurate, Snootie died “keeping it real”, which is big in the rap world.
