Sitcom actor Eddie Mekka, (birth name Edward Rudolph Mekjian), legendary for his portrayal of Carmine Ragusa (a.k.a., The Big Ragu) on Laverne and Shirley, has passed away at the age of 69. :\'(

I saw him play baseball one time. We went to Shea Stadium to watch the Mets & Dodgers play. They had an opening fundraiser game with the cast of Happy Days/Laverne & Shirley playing against the Mets' wives. David Hartman from Good Morning America was also playing on the Mets' Wives team (as well as a few other guys). I TRIED to get pics but I was a terrible photographer back then and all my pics came out blurry. What I remember about Eddie Mekka (besides that he played first base) was that he did a tour en l'air-I THINK a double. I was impressed because I knew he studied ballet.
