Judy Grafe, who played matriarch Joyce Wrigley on Nickelodeon's cult classic The Adventures of Pete & Pete has died. Pete and Pete themselves (Danny Tamberelli and Mike Maronna) paid tribute to their TV mom on their podcast, The Adventures of Danny and Mike.
Mom Wrigley was notable for having a metal plate in her head that could pick up radio signals. Grafe's other credits include *batteries not included, Judging Amy and Unsolved Mysteries.

Sorry to hear this. I love "The Adventures of Pete & Pete". I stumbled on it back in the 90s while flipping channels and loved the look of it right away, even though I was a full growed adult. It's so surreal. I don't think that show is just for kids. I'm surprised it isn't brought up more on this site.
