Written By: LyricBoy on 11/17/21 at 6:30 pm

Renowned Memphis rapper Young Dolph, (birth name, Adolph Robert Thornton) was gunned down at a cookie store in South Memphis at about 1:00 PM today. He was 36 years old.  :\'(

In September 2017, Young Dolph was shot outside a retail store in Hollywood and hospitalized in critical condition. He spent two weeks in the hospital recovering from three gunshot wounds. Released prior to the shooting, his April 2017 album “Bulletproof” secretly spelled out a message through the track listings (“100 Shots,” “In Charlotte,” “But I’m Bulletproof,” “So F*k ‘Em,” “That’s How I Feel”) which seemed to be asking somebody to see if he was indeed bulletproof. Which in September 2017, he was.

Dolph was the cousin of rapper Juice Wrld, who died at 21 of a drug overdose at Chicago’s Midway International Airport back in ‘19.  :-\\

Memphis police have released camera footage of the shooting.  Two men approached Dolph and shot him multiple times. Seems that the footage confirms that this was not an accidental shooting.  :-\\

Seems that a Memphis comedian, Derrion “DMoney” Childs was mocking Dolph’s demise shortly after he was shot.

Now DMuney is dead in a triple shooting. Karma can certainly be an adversary.  :o

It’s been a long time coming, but Justice is being served in the untimely death of Young Dolph.

Justin Johnson was found guilty of murder in the death of rapper Young Dolph on Thursday after the jury heard testimony from a co-defendant that the killing was part of a feud between rival record labels.

Jurors deliberated for just under four hours before finding Johnson guilty of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and being a felon in possession of a gun. Shelby County Criminal Court Judge Jennifer Mitchell sentenced Johnson to life in prison.

He’s “going to college” now. With a life sentence.
