Model and singer Nick Kamen has died at the age of 59, a friend of his family has confirmed to the BBC.
The Essex-born star was known for appearing in a Levi's 501 advert filmed in a launderette in 1985.
His music career peaked the next year with a top five hit Each Time You Break My Heart, which was written by Madonna.
His friend and fellow singer Boy George led the tributes on Wednesday, describing Kamen as "the most beautiful and sweetest man"

Apparently he had bone marrow cancer. :\'(
I had heard his name before, but I didn't really know any of his music.

His 1986 song Each Time You Break My Heart was co-written and co-produced by Madonna. It was a one hit wonder for him here in Canada and a song I remember very well. R.I.P.
