Subject: B.B. Dickerson Parks His Low Rider

Morris B.B. Dickerson, founding bass player for the legendary funk ensemble War (originally billed as Eric Burden and War), has passed away at the age of 71 from an undisclosed illness.  :\'(

Look up the word “funky” in any dictionary and you’ll see a picture of B.B. and his fellow War band members. He played on War’s biggest hits, including Why Can’t We Be Friends, The World is a Ghetto (on which B.B. sang lead), Low Rider, and Cisco Kid.  WCWBF was huge in the spring of ‘75.  8)

Added note... B.B. Dickerson and War were on stage, jamming with Jimi Hendrix on what would be his last on-stage performance.  8)  :\'(
