Weekly World News cartoonist (1988-1998) and Cracked Magazine owner/editor/publisher (2000-2005) Dick Kulpa has died from cancer at 67. He created the famous Bat Boy character at WWN. His run at Cracked ended up being disastrous: Publishing was reduced to near-nothingness around 2004 or so. He sold the MAD competitor in 2005, which was briefly revived as a Maxim parody in 2006-2007. Cracked Magazine no longer exists, but Cracked lives on as a humor website.
I loved Cracked. I read it from 1998-2004. I still have most of the issues in one of my "accidental time capsules," along with Nickelodeon and Disney Adventures.
