In the U.K. to people of a certain generation David Prowse is known as Green Cross Code Man. He featured in a series of adverts aimed at teaching children to cross the road safely.

At the time of casting for the first "Star Wars" George Lucas offered him the choice of Chewbacca or Darth Vader.

Vader.... But it's pronounced differently than the character. It sounds more like fader with the "a" pronounced as in "car".

My best friend once went to Sci-Fi convention and met David Prowse. He sang his own Star Wars song (which my friend & I ALWAYS sing now):

It has been announced that Prowse had died aged 85, after a short illness with Covid-19, the Sun reported.

I imagine he is interred on the mantle. Unless his widow decided to have some of that jewelry made that they now make out of dependents’ cremains.  :o
