Written By: Indy Gent on 10/12/20 at 4:19 pm
Joe Morgan, the diminutive second baseman of the Cinicinnati Reds in the 70s, has died of a nerve condition Sunday. He was 77. The Hall-of-Famer was a member of The Big Red Machine that included Pete Rose, Johnny Bench and Ken Griffey, Sr. He was 10-time All-Star and a 5 time Gold Glove winner. He hit 2,515 hits, stole 689 bases and had a lifetime batting average of .271. RIP, Joe :\'(

A buddy of mine who used to be a sportscaster posted a pic of him and Joe to his Facebook account, just like he did for Bob Gibson. Pretty much any time a pro athlete dies, he posts a pic and brags about how they were best of friends. ::)
Not sure how he missed out on Whitney Ford.

Even though as a Cubs fan he was our nemesis, much respect. Sad to say goodbye :\'( :\'( :\'(
