Legendary inventor of the miracle fabric Gore-Tex, Robert W. Gore, has passed away at the age of 83. :\'(

Somewhat of a young genius, at the age of 19 he helped his father invent a new form of wiring insulation with Teflon tape, and the company went on to make billions. His most famous invention, of course, was Gore-Tex, the breathable waterproof fabric. 8)
